If you are thinking of going get down early. Looks like it's going to be a busy one.

Will it not be wind-dependant?

comes over my house daily.low enough and big enough to cast a shadow over it.i will get my daughter out to take some photos from right underneath the belly of the beast.i will also tell my mother that i have arranged the fly past as part of her 80th birthday celaebrations that day funny thing is that although the emirates plane is the biggest of the regular flights it is by no way the loudest.we have always had to stop a conversation when a lot of the planes go over.flightpath wise it comes over drumchapel heading southwards and our scheme [whitecrook] is the last housing it passes before the landing strip.normally passes over at 12.25 at my place.great underneath view from the forth and clyde canal across from the great western retail park.

The twice daily flights by Emirates are served by two boeing 777-300ER. Massive planes but nothing like this one. It will probably be Jet2 that create most noise pollution going in & out of Glasgow. I don't think they have a aircraft under 25 years old.

there is a local pressure group that has been fighting the airport authority for years on the pollution/noise stuff but the airport people have a fund in place to give sweeteners to local community groups to try and keep the peace.

Having spent most of my younger days in  Kinfauns drive Drumchapel. I remember how bad it could get at times. Had the pleasure of watching Concorde on approach to Glasgow twice. I'm sure the Queen was on one I remember the whole school going out on the football pitch for it.
