Glasgow gives green light to £130m 'eco' office block
THIS is the £130million block to be built in the centre of Glasgow that will be
one of the UK's most environmentally friendly office buildings.
National developer Castlemore Securities has been given permission for
the 12-storey building in St Vincent Street.
The company says the 250,000sq ft development will set new standards
for green' buildings.
Spokesman Nigel Crump said: "Green credentials are fundamental in any
building, particularly a new one."
The office will have a special air conditioning system that emits 30% less
carbon, uses 30% less energy and will be 30% cheaper to run.
But it will produce up to 50% more fresh air than traditional systems.

But how can they get away with labelling these things "eco"? Okay it may be designed to minimise impact but it would be more honest to say it does a bit less damage than others.
