How about this one in Shettleston. Would have been the name of Academy Street either before the school was built or when Shettleston was a village on its own.

Cybers
There may be some evidence in old maps. Will see if I can locate any information about Eglinton Place.
Don't know if the name change is recent of from when Shettleston was absorbed into Glasgow. _________________ I had a dream today

Its not on the Glasgow Guide list of changed street names, but it was Eglinton Place in the 1904 PO directory, and didn't show up in a search of the 1933-34 directory _________________ Gies a gonk ya dobber!!
