Picture yourself in the new Riverside Museum!
Do you have old photo albums gathering dust in the attic? Or shoeboxes
of family snapshots under the bed? If so, you could become a part of
Glasgow's new museum of transport. We're making a display about
fashion in Glasgow during the Swinging Sixties, and would really like to use
some of your old photos!
We'd love to see your pictures of 1960s Glasgow, especially if
they're of you or someone you know ¦
* showing off a stylish miniskirt or flash suit at the disco
* sporting a fabulous - and now oh-so-out-of-date! - hairdo
* singing or playing with the band
* behind the wheel of a fab new car
* spending that hard-earned cash at a fashion boutique
* or simply hanging out with friends in the city centre.
If you have any old family shots you'd like to share, then we'd
love to hear from you. Please call Kate Tansley at the Museum of Transport on 0141 287 2720 if you want your pictures to be considered
for the Riverside Museum. Please call before sending in original
photographs. _________________ I had a dream today

I have lots of photos of dad driving cars etc but the high fashion requirement is a bit of a tall order for most of the member of my family in Glasgow in the 1960s.
I can find endless shots with them dressed in overalls etc. _________________ "This is like deja vu all over again." |

Thanks Scallop.
JR I am sure your photos will be interesting. They don't say it is restricted to any type of cloths so working closed should be ok.
Remember not everyone participated in the Swinging 60's and they weren't apparent in the early 60's when I only remember things being black, white and gray. Not everyone could afford colour photos either. _________________ I had a dream today
