Inspired by this I think the time has come to have a recipe thread on this forum. I'll kick it off.

Chicken and Mushroom Pot Noodle a la Mortons Roll

Take 1 chicken and mushroom pot noodle.
Open lid and discard soy sauce as it's pure rank except on sushi
Boil kettle and fill Pot Noodle with boiling water to about half of the required fill level and allow to rehydrate
Take 1 Mortons roll and open with fingers and scoop out dough from the inside
Check Pot Noodle is rehydrated but not runny, if still a bit crunchy, add the merest hint of water to it to achieve optimum rehydration but not runnyness
Insert contents of Pot Noodle into roll and stuff down throat
Add brown or red sauce to taste.

This recipe can also substitute other flavours and type of instant noodles except Beef and Tomato as it's pure honking.

There's not much you can't put on a Mortons roll although mibbes a roll and tripe might be pushing it with or without sauce

Tablet

Recipe No. 1

Ingredients
4 oz butter
1 teacup milk
small tin of condensed milk
2 lb granulated sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla essence
Method
Melt the butter slowly in a fairly large pot with a good heavy bottom to it. Add the two milks, stir, then add the sugar and mix well together.
Don't let it boil until the sugar is melted. Boil for 20 minutes on a medium heat stirring frequently.
Take from the heat, addd vanilla essence and beat with a wooden spoon until creamy-about 5 minutes.
Pour into an oiled tray and mark into squares.

Recipe No. 2

1 teacup of whole milk
2oz creamy butter (ie. Lurpak)
2 lb granulated sugar
small tin of condensed milk
1 tablespoon of syrup
few drops of vanilla essence
Put the milk, sugar and butter into a strong pan and heat gently.
Once the butter has melted and sugar dissolved, add the condensed milk.
Bring this mixture slowly to the boil, stirring constantly. Add the syrup and boil gently for 5 minutes. (Test the mixture by putting a teaspoonful into a cup of cold water. It it is firm and holding together, take the pot off the heat). Add the vanilla essence and beat for 3 to 5 minutes.
Pour the mixture into a tray and allow to cool.
