Loco 3007 is back in Glasgow to help launch the Riverside Museum Appeal.
It will transfer to Nitshill next week were work commences on it's renovation. It will be located in the Glasgow Museum Resource Centre till the new Riveside Museum opens.

Thanks James
May be able to get some pictures when Loco 3007 moves to Nitshill. I understand that it will be moving sometime on Wednesday. Possibly even get some pictures during the renovation. _________________ I had a dream today

we got no say in the piss poor design with no extra floor space than the existing museum and now they put this in the square to get us to dig deep in our pockets to pay for something they decided was right for the city...
Seems the architect in question admitted that the building was only good for 20-30 years use ....
Lovely here have some of my cash... After all I don't give enough to local government just now...
SOme one should tell them FOOK ORF!!! build a double sized ASDA and let the council spend the change they will save on sorting out the city's poor housing problem...
No mention yet of them introducing a CHARGE as of yet but as it is a private company that is taking over no doubt this will be announced after the building gets 20 million over budget...
Blind leading the blind...
End of rant open of controversial issue... Jog on ! _________________ MY FLICKR

I don't want to get too serious on here but just for the record.
Glasgow City Council will own the new museum and not the company managing it on our behalf. This is the same for all facilities that are managed by Culture and Sport Glasgow.
There is also no plan to change the free entry policy to any of Glasgow's museums apart from as has previously been done when a particular exhibition comes to the city.
On a lighter note if this does change whilst I am a Councillor you have my permission to come and give my a--e a good kick _________________ I had a dream today

Sorry Alex not meant as a personal swipe at yourself...
Just i am not overly enamoured with the new design Not very pleasing on the eye though in the flesh i might change my mind ....
Just i thought they would have killed 2 birds with one stone.
More floor space to show the exhibits properly and new premises with easy upkeep.
Just seems to me that its all about aesthetics for the riverside instead of practicality. _________________ MY FLICKR
