The SRPS have launched an appeal to cover the costs of purchase and overhaul of North British Locomotive Company Built Turkish 8f number 45170. The locomotive is scheduled to arrive in Bo'ness on Thursday the 13th, after being displayed for the day in Glasgow under the Finnieston Crane (for the first time in 50 years and possibly the last ever time!). If anyone would like to help the society finically, donations can be made online here, and postal forms will soon be available. https://mydonate.bt.com/events/stanier8f/190986

Finally, there will be a ‘Welcome Home!’ event on the Bo’ness and Kinneil
Railway on the 15th November, with the locomotive on display in Bo’ness platform, where there will be the chance to inspect 45170, and to buy some merchandise. SRPS member will be admitted free of charge on production of their membership card, while there will be platform ticket (£2) for non-members.

That's bloody good nick, compared to many I've seen, Stu! Make no mistake, they are starting out from a good point with this restoration.
