Not that the photo itself it great but yesterday when passing this part of the Gallowgate I looked back at the Whitevale Swimming Baths.. and thought to myself that not until all those old streets of tenements were pulled down was this view of the baths able to have ever be seen.. so before they go builiding again on this plot, I thought Id shove it on...

Calamity, the demolition of the houses at Slatefield Street from Wyper Place at the Bellgrove Hotel to Whitevale St took around 6 years to complete.
The plot at Lynn`s pub to my knowledge hasn`t been developed yet unless it has been done in the last few months.

Hi Calamity, from where you are standing in your pic the Lynn bar / Chip Shop and Newsagents were at the other side of the top of David Street....Here`s a google image before the shops got torched...

The Whitevale Baths are riddled with Asbestos so the chances of access are zero.

That first shop there was Suzi Wong's Take away in the 70's and early 80's
Wee restaraunt with a take away counter...
Wee used to get food from it occasionally as it was a treat then instead of the norm.

The wee shop at the end was a hardware shop for years
