These are photos of my brother taken in 1971. My parents are architects and I think these were taken on a trip related to an (unsuccesful!) entry in the competition to design the building for the Burrell collection. I've picked up several clues that this was taken in Glasgow. The livery of the bus in the background fits the place and time. On the left in the shadows I can just make out "J&A Ferguson" who I've discovered were a grocer in Glasgow at the time, and on the far right there is "South of ??? Electricit???" which I'm guessing is "South of Scotland Electricity Board". I'm just curious to know whether anyone recognises the location.

Shawlands Arcade looking out onto Pollockshaws Road possibly with the Primary school in the background.

Thank you cybers. It's obviously changed a bit but the school building does fit as you suggest. It makes sense that my dad would have stopped off here on the way to the Burrell collection site. A little bit of family history filled in. Thank you...
