I think the Scottish parliament building is one of the worst eyesores in the UK , and one of the worst in Scotland, of all the lovely styles of building they could have chosen this place is hellish!!

I disagree....
The Scottish Parliament is not only interesting from the outside but amazing inside.
Worth the money .... well that was not the question asked.

Cybers - agree about the parliament - I wonder how many of the critics have actually made the perilous journey to the far end of the M8 to see it for themselves - inside and out.

As far as bad buildings are concerned - the one near the barras mentioned above takes the biscuit - Architects producing badly thought out details which mean that water runs down the face of buildings and stains them rather than dripping off harmlessly. This thing will be an eyesore for years to come.

btw : should admit that I worked at the parliament for 2 years so I take a lot of personal pride in certain parts of that particular building.

namestain

Does that mean that there is some hidden dark recess in the bowels of the parliament that has a little diagram and the words "namestain was here!"?  Whereas the building near the Barras just has "stain" prominently written all over its front

Absolutely, it's scribbled on the underside of Alex Salmond - turn him over and have a look if you get the chance
