Have you spotted all the old sewing machines in the new All Saints store on Buchanan st. (Borders)

They are turning into a bit of a tourist attraction with hundreds of photographs being taken every day.

Hi womble, just spotted them yesterday, had my camera with me but thought I will get them another day
I was wondering if someone had bought up all the old machines from a clothing firm that had closed down.
Bye for now, norrie

They are rumoured to have been shipped in from Pakistan and India.
But how many of our mums and grannies had one of these machines whirring away and their feet going like the clappers on the treadle?
