Scanned this today. Didn't do a great job of it but anyway here it is.

I was sure we had a wee thread for old maps. Couldn't find it though.

So George St was originally to the east of Orr St Just need some political hack to blame that on global warming too...

Aye it took a good while. I originally wanted to create a Google Earth overlay. The only problem being that the image quality deteriorates the larger the image.

Found a couple of programs to create Super-Overlays but that's another story...a long horrible story.

Try it out and notice the difference for yourself.

Thanks Alex, wish I did.

Finally got a super-overlay created of this thing. Worked quite well. A lot more zoomable than that last one.

Good map,notice Christ church on Brook st/Crownpoint rd once had a graveyard bordering on George st (Rogart st) had enquiry about this few weeks ago. Problem solved thanks mate

Excellent piece of work lowlight, that works really well. I think that sort of google earth overlays is one of the most useful things I've come across when looking into Glasgow's past.

At the risk of sounding greedy could you do any of the other ones in this series?
