The entrance to the Southern Necropolis is marked by a sandstone archway. Built in 1948 and designed by architect Charles Wilson. In recent years it has been secured after the oriel collapsed and it was made wind and water tight. The internal stairs have been removed and the doors locked and secured. It's an elaborate pigeon house now.

My My Stu you have upped the anti in Urban Exploration
Great photos as usual.
There was a plan some years ago to convert it into a visitors center with a strong link to Family History. Unfortunately they didn't manage to secure the money.
Love that long shadow of the last one Stu.
Is that a sigma 10-20 you got now ? _________________ MY FLICKR
