Hi fastnet good for you, I would have never in a million years have thought of doing that.

I have never had anything published but sold a few photos, well I guess folk liked them
I worked in GHA Gorbals and the Neighbourhood Manager got me to photograph the new housing in Gorbals, from street level and from the high flats, I have to admit it was good to see my stuff in GHA magazines and posters in the public area.
I also took wedding photographs for my friends daughter and some of them ended up in the papers, did I get paid or mentioned, no chance
Bye for now, norrie

A couple of months ago l was watching a documentry by National Geographic called 'Britain's Underworld - Glasgow'. During the program l was sure l had spotted one of my photos (which was on the screen for all of 3 sceonds). I finally got round to checking it out 2 weeks ago and found it was one of mine and they had used it without my permission. After contacting the production company they agreed to pay me 200. Nice result, that will go to buying me a new Nikon SB900 Flashgun, thank you gangsters of Glasgow.

ps the photo was of 'Glasgows Miles Better' badges and not of any criminal activity.

43sec in to this part of the documentry.

cybers

Nice one Robert ....

Too many people would be willing to let them have it for free which in turn breeds the lazy journalism pattern.
It also is costing photographers their Job because too many will let the million selling newspapers and its multi millionaire owners have them for free.
