A Citizens' Archive

Hello everyone,

I am currently Artist in Residence at the Citizens Theatre in the Gorbals. I am working at the theatre until February on a variety of photographic projects: one of my projects is to create a photographic archive of the Citizens Theatre and the Gorbals through the decades.

I'm looking for image submissions of any kind - digital or print/negative. The photographs can be of buildings, people, places, family photographs - anything and everything. The project is open to professional and amateur photographers alike. I'm planning to exhibit the images along with my own photographic work from the project in Feb/March 2014. Photographers will be credited (where known): I am also accepting anonymous submissions from those who would rather not have their name displayed.

Here's a link to more info:

I'd love to hear from anyone who has images they'd like to submit: the area has changed alot over the years but it remains a fascinating part of the city - the purpose of the archive is to document and celebrate this.

Thankyou for reading!

Welcome to the site Sarah and I'm sure someone on here can help you.

Do you have anything of interest that the citizens may have ?

If so, I'm sure we would all love to see them.

Welcome Sarah

I'm sure I have a few of the building but they would be the current one not the one with the statues outside if they are of any use. I'm sure Norrie will have something of interest though

Hello Marblez, if you have some images of the building that would be fantastic - I'm looking for past and present images, so current photographs are just as useful. Thankyou!

Are they digital images? I also have access to a scanner if they're hard copies.

I will PM Norrie.
