I call them tenements just to really Get It Right Up the poshies  ...but can you not live in a flat in a tenement? . When I lived in Govan, it was a tenement, but we all called the flats our "house". now how posh is that
We had our own personal zoo in that house  ...wee insects (earwigs in the bed with you in the moring BTW....shiver) , lovely wee mice, slugs in the sink....ahhh the good old days
