Bar Blog

My bar blog might be of interest to some people here.

I've been writing it for about 6 months. Trying to create a variation on the usual review format.

Most of the pieces are on Glasgow establishments but also on bars I've had the good fortune to experience outwith this green city.

Having just returned from working what felt like 86 jobs at once I'm hoping to get more involved on the forum. I've also got a Pentax K-5 on the way from Merchant City Cameras so I joined Alan's photography website earlier on today. I hope to be involved there too.

Hello folks.  This is my 1st ever post on urbanglasgow.

I hereby blatantly promote a You Tube video what I did.

It's about The Great Western Bridge.  In order to make it I plundered lots of websites for still photo's, including this one....

Here's the link.  Hope you like it.....

http://youtu.be/Q9kNkEdDtBs

It was shot during the only 3 sunny days of 2011, using a very basic camera and edited on a Mac laptop.

I sincerely hope you credited any pics used from this site to those who
went to the trouble of taking and posting them.....

Thats weird... when did he delete it?
cybers

Not sure it was there earlier but it might have something to do with VM images that were in it    Or the soundtrack .. you know how arsey BooToob can be for music.
will be deleted soon

Re-visited your website.  Deleted the video after getting that 1st E-mail response.  Of course I credited everyone for their "hard work, time and effort",  (if that's what you call it.)

The video was simply a technical exercise using a cheap camera and a Mac laptop.

If you're going to be so f**king petty no-one sees the video.

I've released your post from moderation so everyone can see how petty YOU are... yes, you will get some criticism if you post online but jesus man, grow some thicker skin and learn to take it a bit better!
As much as I am greatful that you credited the forum, might I suggest that next time, you ask BEFORE you take and use?
I watched the whole video and while I knew most of the information, I actually liked it and would have congratulated you for it... but since you've spat the dummy and deleted it, I can't....
cybers

Sounds like a right yin .... The video was boring as fcuk but thats just my honest opinion 14 mins of hypnotic sleep inducing sh!te. The photos (The Best Part)have been accumulated and collated over time by members who put in the work and travel time in a lot of cases so I have to side with them on here as well as what was said before ...

PETTY ?
Indeed you are.
Doog Doog

OK,I didn't look at the video and maybe I should have before
posting a comment...
But when someone uses a phrase "plundered photos" the alarm
bells ring. Its something that's been occurring all too often on
here. That is why I asked the question.
fastnet

norrie.....Just saw this on skyscrappercity....Although they did credit here, But not you.

Hawick_1987

I have created a forum based website about my hometown of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

Direct link here: http://projecthawick.forumatic.com

I welcome any members from UG with open arms along with any suggestions, criticisms and ideas.

My Urban Glasgow posts continue regardless of 'Project Hawick.' Indeed I am currently working on a Glasgow Royal Infirmary mega-thread which involves tunnels, secret rooms and archive material! This is still a few months from completion, so in the meantime I hope you enjoy 'Project Hawick!'

Project Hawick is now on Facebook.

Final time mods I promise!
