Bothwell St/Pitt St/Waterloo St - empty site

hi

anyone got any pics, or info on what used to be on this site. I assume it was Victorian buildings replaced by some post-war block and demolished in the last 20 yrs, but that's all assumption.
The attached pic shows where I mean, with the currently vacant block highlighted in red... answers and old pics on a postcard (well, post please)

There were plans for the site but the developer didn't manage to get it started before the recession. If memory serves me correctly it was to be a new hotel.

The Albany was Scotlands premier Boxing venue it also hosted many other events including a Miss Scotland competition or two. Seems it also was the first to have a colour telly in every room as well.
