Cotton Mills in Glasgow

IM watching "The Mill" a new TV series that shows what life was like for the young people who worked in these places... so thought Id have a wee read about the mills round this area..

My mother, who was born in 1912, worked in a cotton mill in Bridgeton as a  young woman - sometime in the late 1920s/ early 1930s.  I don't remember her ever saying much about it, other than that she had worked there, but I got the impression that it was somewhere round about the James Street area.

TT theres an old mill building still there, now its flats near where the Kings Picture house was..
