Does anyone have any old pictures from Cathcart?

If anyone has any pictures to share of the Cathcart area, close to Cathcart Station around Clarkston Road, then I would love to see. I have not had much luck in finding much. I have only managed to find some from Virtual Mitchell. Thanks in advance!!

There are stacks on here but not collated in the one place - you'll have to make a trawl using the 'search' function I'm afraid.

I have loads here and on my flickr for your viewing* pleasure. Link below.

Why the hell do we not have a requests section ... it would be a damn sight easier for clearing this dingbat rubbish from the main forum.

Oh has anyone got any photos of XXXXX would love to see them...

Yer well remember the please and thank you when they are given up but some it would seem cannot even manage the simplest of replies.
I am all for helping folk out but fecking hell the place is littered with these requests the majority of which have been filled and very rarely do the requesters hang around ... Instead the photos usually turn up on Facebook where the tubes who lifted the photos get all arsey when caught.

Hi Cybers, dont hold back
You have got me worried now, I see the totals on my Glasgow photos going up all the time, City Centre is up to 97,000 odd looks, or is that lifts
Not the first time I have emailed photos and not had a reply, time for the big water mark
calamity

hiv tae agree norrie... some old Cathcart ones on ebay.

Thanks for the tip, Calamity.

Anyone got any suggestions about what I should do about this? -

I suspect this guy doesn't own the copyright to any of the photos he's selling, and he definitely doesn't own this one!

I'd definitely report it to Ebay!

*EDIT* I just asked him if he owned copyright and got this as a reply:-
Dear gina************,

"Who lit the fuse on your tampon?"

So I am assuming the thieving wanker doesn't!

It seems you have to report it yourself Streapadair as Ebay and FB don't allow third party reporting of copyright theft.

Thanks for the link, Gina.

I've filled in the form, trouble is I have to send it by fax. Off downtown tomorrow, to find a shop/library that will send it for me, unless someone's got a better idea.

I can fax things from work if need be
norrie

Hi Strepadair, even I recognised that photo as one of yours, theiving git, 20, you sitting on a fortune
Hope you get it sorted, bad enough nicking the photo but to sell it, thats stealing
streapadair

Aye, Norrie, I can put up with the Facebook shysters but I won't stand for any pirate trying to make money from my photos, if I can help it.

Gina, thanks again for the links, but these free trials demand card details and I prefer not to give them out if there's a viable alternative.
Gina

I reported his snotty reply to my question as abuse and he has now ended the sale because:-

"The item was lost or broken!"

Also, he seems to have taken down all the old Glasgow pictures he was selling.......Result!
norrie

Well done Gina but like the folk I had trouble with, you have to keep any eye open for them returning

I'm guilty as charged of being very naive in the past but I now fully understand why threads such as this get folk wound up. The OP's post count is still at '1' - not so much as a 'thank you'. The search function on here alone will produce umpteen results.
