Stuball

They werent... but we put them back
cybers

Wow...
We did glasswork in there in the 80's on the cheap.
What a mess it looks now... Look forward to the rest of your set Stu...
I remember it used to be very grand and was well surprised how cheap we were doing the work.
It lead to bigger and better jobs though.

Great pics Stu

I was there a couple of weeks ago and saw the place for myself and it must have been a grand old place in it`s day, but sadly it looks like the dry rot is catching up with it now. Another year or two of neglect will see some of those floors collapse

Someone has done some restoration work within the last couple of years... there is rooms with new plaster and ceilings. Although it looks like all the new radiators and copper piping has been striped already

There looks to be plenty of architectural salvage in the whole place...

I'd actually advise against that... there is a burst pipe in the building and it's in a very fragile condition
LowLight

Just for a swatch. Didn't think she'd go pokin around inside.

Pretty much done as a venue now with unsafe floors plaster falling off the walls in huge sections and windows falling out as you walk past.
Think the roofs about to go soon too which is a reall shame how quickly this old girl has gone in such a short space of time.

sputnik

you might have picked that poor lassie up cybers.

Why it was me that put her there

Squeezed in a wee visit with someone looking for a derelict place to do a photoshoot but they even put it down as dangerous lol though the grounds will be used for something interesting no doubt

Last time I was there most of the piping and wiring had been dug out and most of the lead flashing from the rrof had gone making the building dangerous and floors rotten with a real danger of collapse.
