If it was Benny's Stu it was one of the two pubs Castlemilk finally got in the 90's after being veritable deserts... The first pub opened was called the Oasis ...wee bit of Irony
fastnet

Surely you mean the castle arms cybers ?........

OK.....It was Bennigans....Sorry about the crap pic.

Must have changed the name long after I was there   There was a mtching one in Easterhoose built to the exact same design we were led to believe.

It was a bloody Saloon in its day ... With proper gunfights and Sheriffs horses tied up ootside I kid you not.
dickyhart

I played a couple of gigs in the castle arms, the guy who looked after it was not to be messed with. he was scarier than the audience.
fastnet

Fire at Lancefield St just now.

cybers

Twas the dude in the foreground that did it as Stu is online lol
Stuball

Hope it's not the substation....
cybers

Looks more like the Cash n Carry Stu though a candle light vigil might be good in your work .... though in the Dark yi would need to check the bar .... To make sure the Spirits are still there lmfao

Major tenement fire in Bishopbriggs this afternoon

cybers

Hennessy and Bowie's offices Feel sorry for the poor residents upstairs from this place .... They used to close up and leave electric fires burning all night in that place. Used to open that door at 1am to deliver stuff and near get knocked over by the heat.
Surprised it lasted as long as it did.
kev

I live a couple of closes up and know one of the residents...hes going berko just now for just the thing you mentioned Cybs. The investigations team are in situ right now
cybers

I am there every morning though have had no dealing with this mob for a few years ... Used to drive me insane the heat in the place. Was always curious why the close does not exist to the front
kev

It never did...the bank was there since the building was first put up so imagine the close was always at the back

Was talking to one of the firemen and he says there seems to be significant sructural damage
cybers

Passed this morning ... wow the police seem to be having a huge inquiry into this. quite alarming the kids balloons etc in the window above H&Bs
smb95

Yesterday at school I saw quite a fire (well just the smoke, it was quite big) from somewhere that I currently do not know.

caledonia84

saw that too!

Glasgow's Burning by Caledonia84, on Flickr

Was the Steiner school in Yorkhill http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-21940354

Was going to head over and get some shots, being a firefighter myself I'm usually to busy (and forbidden!) to be taking photos at incidents but I could have had free rain here! didn't bother in the finish up It started snowing on and off and I have a phobia about taking my camera out in inclimate weather
cybers

Sounds stupid but keep a polybag or similar in your kit bag .... I have a custom one I bought from ebay but its a faff to get it on and still resort to Tesco finest and a couple of rubber bands..
caledonia84

Cybers top tip! You might have just given me an extra 300 days   photography a year :)
