Frustrating day on the west coast!

Well, decided to head down to St peters Seminary today as I hear its potentially getting re developed and wanted to see it before all the work started.

Unfortunately the clearance work is now in full swing and theres was guys and plant machinery all around the seminary today :(

So I went for plan B and took a drive down to Ardeer hoping to get down to the old ICI powerstation for a wee explore. I very quickly realised that I had massively underestimated the size of this place and the distance from where i parked to where I wanted to get to :(

I managed to briefly wander around a few buildings (maybe 4 of about 400!) but then spent most of my time brushing ticks of my arms and legs. Thankfully I was wearing jeans!

On a side note the place was crawling with jumping spiders, dragonflys, crickets, butterflys and frogs among other creepy crawley's all excellent macro subjects if you like that sort of thing (and I do) but I forgot my macro lens.

Anyway heres a few shots I did manage to get, will need to head back.

Nice set that is... Often fancied a toddle round Ardeer but will need to delay it till after tick season at least.

Ha ha agreed! I think perhaps a frosty winter morning would be best, as I think when its wet it would be an absolute swamp in places.

More worried about bleeding to death than wet
