Glasgow Bakeries with Function Rooms

Can anyone think of Glasgow bakeries from the 60's that also did wedding functions.I think they had function rooms upstairs.
As far as I know The City Bakeries was one but I think there was at least another one.
Any information will be much appreciated.

The City bakeries in Springburn next to Woolworths had a function room upstairs. Was never in it but some of us used to try and sneak upstairs while waiting to be served at lunchtime when i was at Elmvale primary.I think the other City bakeries on Springburn rd just up from where Shevlanes is now also had a function hall but not sure.

Thanks very much for that information jmac49.

The City Bakeries on Byres Rd also had a function room above it. When they closed it it became the head office of Munro Cleaners and Klik Photopoint until they went under.

Thanks AlanM.I had not realised that one had a function room.

In the back of my mind I keep trying to think of a bakery in Gt Western Road which did functions but I might be on the wrong track. Forum Index -> Glasgow From The Past
