Interesting read right enough.
If you were to give some serious thought to what is actually archived it would no doubt make your head spin. Through moments of joy to large scale disasters no doubt it is all there like it says everything from JFK to Lockerbie and beyond. It would be a fascinating insight to be let loose just for a few hours. But.... Pity they always associate their images with a price... I suppose they had to buy them in the first place and then pay for their storage but they really need to pay someone else to get these collated scanned and online. Virtual Mitchell has broken some great ground in this field now imagine it bolstered with newspaper photographs from this archive.... |
