Glasgow in the snow...

Took these shots when we had the recent snow fall.
They were taken from my flat which is situated behind cumberland st old railway station.
Shot at about 1am with flash off...Enjoy...

Alex Glass

Interesting photos Marti

Do you have any others of the old station in daylight and without the snow
Marti

Here you are alex..

This one i acquired...

This one...can't remember...

The next 2 are new, taken last week...

As i can see the front entrance (well, almost) to this station from my place, i am just waiting on my chance to get shots of inside it, when railway personel sometimes open it up for whatever reason.
I have peeked inside, there is not much to photo, but all the same, i am curious...
Alex Glass

Thanks Marti

I meant to get down there to take some photos a while back but forgot all about it. I was passing and didn't have a camera with me.

Were those pics of the Square taken today?  I wanted to know if the kids rides were in place this year - as I couldn't find feck all about it online....
Alex Glass

The photos were taken yesterday Dex

So as you can see everything is the same as last year appart from the fact that Real Radio is missing and the stage is smaller.

Though it's been many years, I used to spend a lot of time walking in Queens Park.  It has some stunning views, especially when the weather is clear; just like you have captured.

I must have some photos somewhere.  I will look them out and I will post them up; though they will be from the early 70s.  Watch this space (but don't hold your breath!)

I know it's not quite the right place for the photo, but it is a response to Stuball.  Mods. Please move it somewhere more appropriate if necessary.  Thanks

Date stamp on back is Sept 1972.  View from Queens Park approx. north west.
