Glasgow People @ Play

For people that are not at their work...

FFS dont take photos of the outside of Kentigern House even though it appears on many websites and even has a special place on Google streetview.... Security guard was a true female dingbat !!! The M.O.D really do need to figure out this invisibility cloak thing sooner rather than later if they want to keep their buildings in public streets.

Thats some of the free hugs crew ( students who go around offering free hugs to people why for I dont know)
fastnet

Don't tell him that womble......he thought he had pulled....
Doorstop

Free hugs?

Why wasn't I informed about this?

Questions will be asked.

Another crowd were handing out free pot noodles further down.

I'd rather have had the hugs though.
womble

There have been groups going around the city centre for the last couple of years giving out free hugs.
It can be a bit of a shocker when a youngster walks up and asks you "Would you like a free hug?" At first it was whats the catch, wheres the video camera, are you on drugs, but now you see them that often it doesn't bother me now.
cybers

The free hug's thing started with a student in New York who was doing a thesis in the sterilisation of man from the world around him and it kinda went a bit global.... the videos of the first "FreeHugs" are all over you tube but i fear the actaul message is a long time lost.

I think you`ll find that its the skateborders and rollerblader that wax (or "grease " as you seem to call it) up all the ledges not BMXers because they can`t grind most stuff without it so get your facts right before trying to blame me and my mate or any other BMXer for waxing up ledges!!!!!.

"bloody nowhere to sit.." WHAT???.so your trying to tell me that ALL the legdes and blocks or waxed up??.Sorry man but what are you on about??

One more thing next time you go down take note of the skate stops that have been added.
Jagz1876

I think you've hit a nerve there Cybers
Stuball

Cybers is right you know.... you can't sit anywhere down the clydeside because they've all been damaged or left black. The BMX bikes cause damage to the stone and you can't deny it. And the skate stops are easily removed. Don't get all bent out of shape, it's an opinion and observation

That photo from the new transport museum NOT clydeside.Of course i dont deny that BMXer cause some damge to ledges but thats not what he was on about was it??.Hes complaining about the waxed up ledges.

Clyedside doest have skate stops becuase they never added any!!.
Stuball

I'm pretty sure they did... I seem to remember sitting down there not long after they finished the work and I accidently pulled one of by hand

Bloody hell lovely rant .... New showpiece stonework at the transport museum trashed way to go "man" .... Makes me proud.

Take the walk seeing as thats your thing ... count how many skate stop pieces are black along the leading edge. Count how much stonework is torn and ragged and then try and factor in cost.... Oh i know its that age old problem "man" wiznae me "man" as for getting mad "man" don't you think it was a bit of an over reaction on your part after all i only bloody stated the obvious "man" !

The black edges are from wax if i used wax then i would say so but i don`t so i i think you`ll find it "wiznae me".

Stone work at the transprt museums trashed??.Right if you say so not gona argue with you.

Stu just talked with my mate and he says the same they never put any skate stops in when they done up the clydeside. So i don`t know what it was that you pulled out.
cybers

Look at your smithgrind photo from the Broomielaw, Black and chipped stonework its the same almost the entire Clydeside Walk. The Transport Museum was the only place that was not done as yet but your photo of your mate goes to prove it's coming so it's kind of a moot point really. and for the record where did i say YOU used the wax

Poirot

It seem to me that you were implying that any waxed up ledges had something to do with me or my mate.

If i got that wrong fair enough but thats hows i read it.
