Glasgow People

Images from the Streets of Glasgow

Fjord

Candid street photography now why didn't I think of this. I like the way you've desaturated them, too much colour can be a distraction
Chief Inspector

Alex Glass

I have some others on another camera but haven't downloaded them yet.

Is the Evening Standard no the paper they now show on Taggart.
Thought they had fallen out with the Times because they released a plot or something to the public ?
Could be wrong usually am lol.
cheesylion

I wouldn't say this particular shoot was Taggart though, If you look everyone is getting a handful of leeks with their papers so maybe some comedy or something?
cybers

Jack n Victor Perhaps lol...
The prostate must be about to give on them ...

Aye but it was well worth it. Besides, a lovely girl asked me to take her photo, too, and could not believe I would e-mail it to her, just like that.

PS: What's the difference between "Glasgow People" and "People of Glasgow" on here?
cheesylion

Ooh, she's lovely!! Can you set me up with her?

They shall not pass!!!!

Indeed, young Minx, and the rules of which were laid down by the Glasgow Cotton Merchant William Wallace Mitchell.

Rather more high-scoring than the Eton Wall game, too.

I think we need to play a couple of 'Ends' at the bowling greens adjacent to the Kelvingrove Art Galleries Museum to settle the score once and for all... Ladies versus Gent's or mixed doubles?... your call Mr Fox

wee minx

There is so much to see when you get out and about..even out of the city centre...cricketers in Pollokshields.

Fjord

I hate cricket  ....but!

...there's something quite calming about seeing a cricket match in progress although it bores the 'Y' front's off me let alone have a clue what the rules are.

I didn't notice

This lady asked him to play the bagpipes so that she could take a photo. So I stood behind her to get a better picture.

I would love to say I took it deliberately but honest it was not intended.

Although this guy looks like he's texting on a mobile phone he was actually scribbling down notes in a pretty tiny paper pad.

He continued doing this until I left the train 15 minutes later.

Ehh... I was on a bus (not admitting what kind of bus it was   , but it was big and red and yellow...nae roof).  So.... jumping about taking pics while the bus was shoogling about..it stopped and I heard the lovely dulcet tones of "Ten Geeetars".  I hopped over the other side of the bus and gave them a wee wave...happy wee guys.  Anyway...the tour guide , god I'll never live this down   ,    says on the microphone.."I apologise most sincerely for that..not the kind of thing you want to see on a Galsgow bus tour"....meanwhile all the other passengers are throwing each other out the way to get a pic too ....we all shouted ..it's all right..this is part of Glasgow too ...brilliant.

LowLight

hahaha nice one.

Here's some of the young team.

Big man in the middle knows who his bitches are. :)
wee minx

Don't know what it is..but Glasgow centre has a lot more sights of people hanging out the window in recent years...maybe just that I'm looking more.

This is brilliant, I love it.

Did they see you taking the photograph? I am too much of a coward for this sort of thing.
LowLight

We just pulled up beside them in the car, they had a quick look over and didn't pay much attention. I hate missing any kind of photo opportunity so I got snapping.

Thanks for the comment.
wee minx

Red hair day...it really was just that colour and it was her hair

I've always thought that the upstairs front seat of the wee tour bus would be the perfect place to capture some past/presents of the many photos that were taken from the same position on the Trams.
