Glasgow's Housing Associations

There are a lot of housing associations in Glasgow and many have or are about to celebrate their 25th or 30th birthdays.

I have been taking a look at their websites recently and was thinking of highlighting where they have available online thier history. hopefully even a chance to see some old photos.

Check out Spire View Housing Association

Look for the pdf link to Old Spire View where you will find lots of old photos of the area.

The website for Reidvale Housing Association is also interesting but you need to go to the Our History link and then if you type all you should get some good results as well as lots of photos.

Will post more soon

Rose hill Housing Co-operative is 25 this year. Working in the Pollok area from 1988.  Rose hill started with the houses in Peat Road and Craigbank renovating them first. They went on to take over Hurlet Housing Association in Nitshill and also building additional houses in Priesthill and on the old school grounds at St Ignatius in Craigbank together with the former Pollok Library site as well as other sites throughout  Craigbank and also in Nitshill.

Will post some photos of their houses later.

The Spire View ones were excellent.
