Glasgow's Weigh Buildings...

This one is at the front of the Caledonia rd Church, Gorbals.
Are there more...???

...note the recent graffiti...???
Stuball

There isnt many weigh buildings left but theres one up at Port Dundas, possibly still active too (havent been up that way for a while). Theres still plenty of weigh bridges about... you just got to know what to look for

As for the grafitti, how dare someone scrawl that on a historical building. It's not a political statement, its just pathetic

There used to be one in Helenvale St Parkhead.
Don't know if it is still there used to be next to the bowling green.

I lived there in the late forties early fifties before the roads were tarred over and dont remember the weighbridge. but you could be right,  there was one somewhere around there as I remember us playing on it and it moving about.. it might have been the one at Bridgeton Cross next to the Olympia..

There was also one in Denmark Street in Possilpark near the junction with Bardowie Street right next to the scrapyard.
