Glasgow University Tower

Working for the uni just now, taking pictures around campus. Managed to blag a wee trip up to the top of the main building's tower, through a tiny dark turret with 225 steps.

The full set, as ever, is on flickr. Hope you enjoy!

Got that changed now, me. Funny, all this time I thought they were Red Road! I'm too much of a fraidy-catnip to go up taking pics around Barmulloch and Sighthill.

Cheers all, really happy with how they came out. Make the climb worth it. :)

Like the one looking down into the main building on your set
In fact i like all of them truth be told but the one i mentioned is a cracker.

Any idea on who the bell foundry might have been ? Were they local ?
norrie

Hi Cybers, there is a Bell Foundry in Whitechapel, London, could that be the one?
Catnip

There's a "LOVGHBOROVGH" around the top, so it could be Taylor's foundry in Loughborough?

When my brother studied there he took tours up there during freshers week. Think there's also access during doors open day and occasionally there are charity abseils from the top
