GMRC. The Glasgow Museums resource centre.

I couldnt see a dedicated thread and I thought there were too many pictures of interest to add them to other threads.

About 3 weeks ago I finally took up the offer from the transport and model conservator at the Glasgow museums resource centre for a guided tour of the building.

The following pictures are some of the many I took on the 2hour wander around the collections.

Being a transport guy we ran out of time to get a look around the paintings store but the things we did get to see meant I left a happy chappy.

I hope you like the pictures and if you want to see more then head over to my flickr page.

The guns, spears, swords and armor are in the weapons section. The only area our guide dosnt have clearance to enter is the safe containing non-decommissioned weapons, these were all safe but still well locked up.

Fascinating set of photos, Dave. Thank you for sharing them with us, it makes  Riverside look amateurish.
