Greggs flag poles

Anybody know why Greggs in Dumbarton Rd, near Partick subway, has two flagpoles on the front of the building?

I like Greggs as much as the next man but I don't put up flags for a cheese and onion pasty.

Legacy left from a former Tenant most probably a Bank or even by location to the shipyards a flagmaker perhaps.

Really?   Their French Fancy cakes should get a flag all of their own.

When I left school, many years ago, my dad got me a summer job at Greggs.
One night I watched a guy with very hairy arms make up the mix for the fruit scones and after a few minutes he put the wooden paddle down then started mixing it with his bare hands!!!
I didn't touch Greggs scones from that day on!!

My sister worked in a large bakers based in Duke Street (you know the one...) and she has sworn off their bread for life.
