Halloween Wander, 31st Oct at 7pmA wee Halloween wander Wed 31st October. 7pm, at Central Station, Gordon Street Entrance.
Have a wander about the city centre, maybe down to the river for night bridge shots, a wee snifter or two of sherry.
Sparklers (ill supply), toffee apples and fun.
Dressing up not essential!!!!
Ill be wearing my scary face mask, those who have met me have already seen it!!
Those who haven't i hope you have a strong stomach
|
Ronnie
|
What a great idea! Maybe we could include a wander through that special place near ... you know where I mean ...

All ideas from experienced urbexers are more than welcome Ronnie
Im a newbie when it comes to this

Anybody else up for this? We could do the Jack House Memorial Square Mile of Murder tour ... or I'm happy to work out an itinerary around hanging, graverobbing, the asylum, the mortuary, lost graveyards, a hidden skull and a cemetery. That kind of thing.
Looking forward to this wee night out. And polishing my hip flask.

Do you think we could wander past the ... er ... Cathedral area?
Be nice to see it in the dark, no?
Also the Barrowland Ballroom frontage, with the big neons.
October is the anniversary of the third Bible John murder.
The night before all All Hallows, when the barrier between this world and the next is at its thinnest, is a night for a *spooky* wander. The bridges and stuff are there every other night of the year. Let's scare ourselves silly ...

Now that you know about changing the iso setting, you'll finder it alot easier :) (don't forget to change it back for your daylight pics)
|
AlanM

For doing those kind of shots you really need some fast glass. I know that fast glass usually means big bucks but a 50mm lens for a Canon costs around £69 new and has a maximum aperture of around f1.8 to let in lots of available light. That way you can keep the ISO a little bit lower and control the noise a bit more
This was taken on Buchanan St around 8pm at the end of September with a 50mm lens wide open (f1.7) iso 400 and a shutter speed of 1/30s
