Kennetpans

Kennetpans was one of Scotland original Whisky distilleries. If it wasn't got the Steins building this place, we wouldn't have the Haig brand, the Dimple or even Jamesons Irish Whiskey.

An extensive and fascinating history can be found detailed HERE

Kennetpans had it's own dock and only in recent years has it collapsed. Infact, it appears one of the boats is still there!

Please note : I take these picture so you don't have to. Anyone that approaches this site will be stopped and queried by the people that live beside it and own the land. Respect their privacy and leave them be. Once you've seen the photos, there is no more to see... trust me on this one

Nice one Stu and thanks for showing us this place

I totally agree that sometimes there is just no other shot to be taken and respecting others space is vital. Especially when they have been kind enough to allow someone to take exclusive photos for everyone to enjoy

Thanks Alex

It's not just about the space... the building really is in a bad way with large cracks on the outer walls, keystones slipping and recently, a large section of it fell inwards. As much as I like to laugh at danger, this one really is bad and just not worth it

yeah Stu I should have said that we also need to be aware that someplaces just can't withstand the contant attention and visits from large numbers and we can end up causing more damage than good

Another excellent set Stu
