Little Photography styled help needed.

Hey,
I'm new here - hi all.

I need a little help - I'm a freelance model, usually work within Glasgow but live in Airdrie - I'm looking to get my hands on a SLR camera - I'm utterly skint bth - as university has ended for the summer and left me with no cash.

When I began modelling my fiance started loving photography and help me with alot of photoshoot ideas and gets quite involved so I would LOVE to be able to surprise him with an SLR for our anniversary next month.

As I'm skint - I can offer a swap
Or...as I'm a freelance model (two years experience) I could offer several TF* shoots in exchange for a camera.
Any takers?

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum - feel free to move it.

Ehh.... welcome to UG Loux...

Good luck with your quest.... but to be honest, I don't see you having much luck in a trade. I do have an older digital SLR which I may eventually sell with the right offer but as I don't really do model shots, I'd be looking for cash. By the way... whats TF*?
Vox Phantom

Maybe i've just overdosed on Gregorys Girl but could it be Tits and Fanny?either way it smells(no pun intended) fishy Stu! but if it is indeed legit then Loux best of luck.Btw i thought the janny worked right through the holidays when the uni shut?....................................................
Loux

Hahaha thanks Vox Phantom - but no lol
And thanks anyway Stu.

TF is a model/photography term meaning Time For.
So basically it can means the model gives her time to do a shoot in exchange...such as...
Time for CD of images
Time for Prints of Images
Time for Goods (clothing, accessories, etc.)
Or...in my case - Time For Camera.

This is legit - i know its a lot to ask but one of my best friends got her first SLR camera by doing this so I thought I'd try it.

It doesnt matter how old the camera is - i just really want one - i suppose when in the hands of the right photographer the camera doesnt really matter to much as art can still be made.

I can admit that I have thought about exploring the avenue of model shoots to further my skills. I have ideas of various dark and bloody shoots to fit my general style of derelict/urbex kind of shots.
What kind of stuff do you do? Have you got a shot or two or perhaps a purestorm/modelmayhem profile?
I'll do a little checking to see how much the camera is worth and perhaps see if I can think of anything fitting

Haha Dark and bloody is right up my street. lol

It is a very fun field of photography to get into - i only started modelling as a hobby whilst in university but now I couldnt imagine not doing it at least a few times a week.

And a red head too

I have almost no experience of doing model shoots... I know how to take the shots but my direction is likely useless.

Let me think about it... and I will have a serious think about it. Locations and themes etc. Locations may be fairly remote and/or in states of disrepair

Stu stay away from the argyle coast .... It's full of rolled up carpet just now ... and you really do need to get rid of that siver saloon

Got to admit i was a little curious by this whole thread though in fairness i was about to answer the TF* anomaly...
The Gothika look would lend itself to a St Petes shoot
But it is a little remote lol...
