I'm raging that I missed it this year. Do they plan to have Glasgow as the starting point like it was years back?

Beano,

Thanks for the links !

My best mate actually owns (passed down from his late Dad) an original next model, the famous FJ Holden.  He's looking to restore it to top quality over the next few years.

Thanks again, Beano !

One of those looks like a 2.8i was this ever referred to a a Laser ... I don't know
tombro

Harky,

Love the pics, especially the one of the FX Holden being followed by the Commodore.  Not real good on my Commodore ages but I think those two Holdens would have been born at least 40 years apart !

Stunning set there ... looks like it got a bit hairy tohugh as i mind my capri hated rain never mind snow.
norrie

Hi st200, good photos, thanks for sharing

Excellent set,ST
st200

Thanks guys, was an amazing adventure and i would definitely do it again.
Was unbelievable up in the Alps, ten foot of snow at the sides of the roads but most of them perfectly clear, why can't we do that here.
The temperature change was something else too, minus 5 up in the mountains and 19 degrees down in Monte Carlo.
We took a couple of detours because of some of the Cols closed due to snow,so we went through Geneva in Switzerland and then down through the Piedmont region of Italy.
In total we did 3200 miles from start to finish.
norrie

Hi st200, I didn't realise that you were taking part in the Rally
What car was yours?
cybers

Have a wild guess
Begins in C ends in I and might just have apr in the middle
norrie

Hi Cybers ,the Capri, oky doky
st200

Hi Norrie,
We weren't actually competing as such,we were following the rally cars that were on route.
We watched them on several different stages on the way down.
We had overnights at Dover,Troyes,Gap and then two nights in Nice before heading home.
Really good adventure.
norrie

Hi st200 Ok glad you enjoyed the trip
I am not keen in driving in icy or snowy conditions, rear wheel drive is not good
