where was this taken ... i have the strangest of feelings i should know where it is or at the least have been there...
scallopboy

It was taken in the old Brasserie Dominique down at the former Briggait Market Cybers.

Quick reply on that one SB
Don't really remember being in there but the mural struck a chord for some reason...
Was in the Briggait when it was open but only briefly .... As i never remember it being open long...

Is there any plans in the pipeline to do something with the building or will it be another riverside development of shoeboxes. ?

After the fire of course !

^^ Cheers Alex.

Doorstop: your pic wins
james73

It doesn't really look like it, but both trains are moving. Honest...

James H
Alex Glass

Sorry Stu have to agree with the Norwegian.

I would say Doorstops are the series of the year for me. He has managed to capture many elements of movement. Particularly the mid air shot. I thinks them being black and white also adds to the quality of the shots.
Doorstop

Thanks very much lads .. I've just started taking an interest in this photography lark. I'm feeling about in the dark at present but I have to say the photographs here and in the other place have given me loads of inspiration.

The stuff here is exceptional.
Stuball

I did'nt know it was a competition :)
zolita1908

aye you win a mars bar and a can a bru
Doorstop

I wasn't seeing it as a competition .. I just posted my wee effort and was expressing my appreciation at folk praising same.

There are loads of folk posting images here which are light years ahead of anything I'll ever do.

I just do it for fun and use any insight / information I can glean from my betters around me to try to raise my game a smidge.

If it was a competition I, for one, probably wouldn't have entered .. *rethink* .. but now I've had a bit of praise maybe I would.
Alex Glass

I would have said it was no competition

Just trying to gee up the big man so that he posts more of his photos.

Stu your photos are always good that is why you get all the testimonials.

LOL, one testimonial so far
Alex Glass

Stu

there must be more cause your photos always look great and I wish I could take as good a pic as you. You also manage to get shots of the most interesting subjects and places.
Stuball

Thanks very much Alex :)

You should go to my flickr profile and add words to that effect in a testimonial
