Bathhouse & Steamie, Osborne Street, Glasgow Cross. The Osborne Street bathhouse, or “steamie”, was built in the 1890s and contained 25 stalls with wringers and dryers, as well as a large boilerhouse. On the first floor there was a women’s bathing area, with 15 cast-iron baths.
The building is now due for partial demolition with plans to turn it into a college of Painting & Drawing.
I have attached a photograph I took of the keys on the old till that is still in place at the entrance kiosk. The words on the key tabs are a miniature social history.

Well captured I'd get that till off to the Peoples Palace pronto!

The till is more of ticket issuing machine and is monolithic with a heavy steel safe beneath. All monies taken at the entrance kiosk were fed directly into the safe below. Maybe they didn't trust the punters!

Hang on, wasn't that building supposed to be turned into an art studio of some description?

Some More Photos of the BathhouseI have attached some other bathhouse photos below.
60's Washing Machines
Womens' hot tub area on the 1st floor.
A partial shot of an old piano. The piano is sitting in semi-darkness hence the poor picture quality. Music while you scrub in the tub.
