The Kia-Ora diluted orange juice machine was sold out by the time we arrived

I had 'Todays Special' homemade ice cream and caramelised apple washed down with a proper coffee with a real milky skin on the top

Don't think that orange juice machine has seen orange since the 90's lol...
Though they do make excellent ice cream...
The cyber van has been known to be sitting in the vicinity whilst the big yin indulges...
I used to be the wee yin lol ... over indulgence (i'll decide)

Is Boni's only open certain days/times? I've passed by a few times in the past few weeks and it's always been closed?
cybers

Have noticed it seems to be closed whenever i pass now too ...
Hope its just a temporary measure ....
Maybe trying to find some formica to sort out the chipped tables or looking for some genuine 70's stock on ebay...

Shame because the ice cream was excellent.

only place that comes close is the cafe in Kilmacolm at the cross roads.
But that would be a whole other thread.

It's been like that for years. They only open certain days/hours. No idea what they are though. I wouldn't imagine the place will be there for a whole lot longer as the couple that own it are quite elderly now

Not been there for years    although it does not seem to have changed much.

Busby Road, Clarkson. Dunno the address number though. It's not far from
the railway station.

The front of the cafe looks modern but inside nothing of the sort

Update on Boni's

Went to Boni's today after reading about it on here and the "I Like" website. It's still open for business and what a pleasant time we had.

Someone mentioned the coffee having a tcp tinge to it and i can only agree that yes that was my experience. It didn't matter though I just loved the place.

Had a chat with the lady owner and how lovely she was, I explained that there is a lot of appreciation for her cafe and that it has a somewhat cult following. She was amazed to hear this and stated " I see everyone walking by, and i just think - has everyone forgotten about us" I swear it nearly brought a tear to my eye.

So anyway she thanked me and said it had given her a lift. which was nice.

Promised i would print some pics and articles about the cafe for her and take them in next time I visit.

I propose that everyone should try and pop along for visit to her and tell her what a great reputation the place has.

Sounds like this lovely old lady could be the perfect destination for a nice wee bicycle trip soon, when it starts being summer again.
Thanks Smckenzie, for your lovely post xx
