35mm ( SLR?)Hope you can help me. I need to buy a 35mm camera for an evening class I want to do in autumn, and my four Holgas just don't have the settings to put into practice what i will learn.
Don't want to spend a fortune, seen some really cheap ones on Amazon but what to buy?????
I would really appreciate your help, I am a Nikon girl when it comes to digital but are their film cameras also good?
Cheers

You can take your pick of good 35mm SLRs from Quiggs... also try places like Cash Convertors and even some charity shops

Book a course before the end of June to get your ILA. If you make over £18,000 you get £100. after June you get f'all

What if you make under £18,000? Any chance of posting this advice again in a language that we can all understand?

Hi HH, there is a ten week course at the Glasgow School of Art, one Evening per week, including development and stuff. The program will be out in August, I think it may be between 300 and 400 pounds though, judging by their summer classes.
And today I was told about this great wee place:

Not sure what courses they will do in near future but I am most certainly up for the next few.... also - how cool, you can use their darkroom for a small fee

Aye, I'm always up for a bit of social intercourse, but let's concentrate on the photography course for noo.

Much as I love looking around Quiggs their pricing is a joke. For a 35mm SLR look at ebay and you'll find something good for very little money.
The Minolta stuff is particularly good (both manual focus and AF, with many of the lenses being Leica designs)

Hi HH, I called Streetlevel today and as they are soon going to move back to their old premises round the corner, they are not having too many weekend courses on, however there will be a B&W class including film development in July.
I'll e-mail you the details as soon as I have them.

Once I know how to do this kind of stuff, of course! Unfortunately they haven't got a scanner there, and getting stuff scanned is really really extortionate - paid two pounds per negative photo at snappy's the other day. It's cheaper to have it done at the same time as the snappy development unfortunately.
