Maryhill Locks, Forth & Clyde Canal - Sat 4 October, 4-8A Celebration of Maryhill, its Canal and its PeopleMaryhill Locks, North Glasgow - Sat 4 October, 4pm - 8pm Big Man is a celebratory event of canal based activities at the Forth & Clyde Canal, Maryhill Locks, with a programme on land and on water for all the family. There will be a range of outdoor activities including opportunities to try canoeing and kayaking, enjoy boat trips along the canal, storytelling, street theatre, model boats, angling, exhibitions, arts & crafts, food and drink, dance and live music performances. Come along and find out more about current and future plans for the rebirth of Glasgow’s historic canal corridor. The event is a partnership between The Waterways Trust Scotland, Glasgow Canal Regeneration Partnership (British Waterways Scotland, Glasgow City Council, ISIS), Cube Housing, Glasgow Housing Association, Queen’s Cross Housing Association, Sustrans Scotland and Maryhill Housing Association.
