Not very good at introducing myself, but I'm Neil and I'm mainly interested in Glasgow from about 1950 to the '80s. I've a few of my own photos of Glasgow taken in the '70s and '80s which may be of interest, and I'll post them as appropriate.
Edit: just noticed - someone's already posted one of my photos, but that's cool - in fact I'm delighted!

Hi Alex, it's in the Past/Present thread; a very good overlay by another Member, showing the Clyde with the Finnieston Crane and the Moat House Hotel. I took the 'Past' photo in 1988 (Garden Festival), and my workmate John T took the 'Present' photo from almost the same spot, without even knowing about the existence of my photo. Spooky......

Welcome to Urban Glasgow. I have heard that they are always drunk when their out wandering but that is just a rumour.
Hope you enjoy this site they are a great bunch of people. If you do go to a drinks night remember to take a camera with you. You are sure to get the opportunity to get some good photos.
