Aye it's every year at the museum.  Well worth a visit, my photos only scratch the surface, there were 200-300 cars there.  Loads of nostalgia.  I'd forgot just how ******* cool my first Vauxhall Viva looks today!

Incidentally, there's an exhibition of wildlife photography just started at the museum today for the rest of the summer.
fastnet

Thanks for that.

i might take a wee jaunt up there.
Jock58

Excellent set schiehallion.

Hope this is the right place for a wee photo i took in Cuba.

These pics of a bygone era in old cars is great...

But the wheels on this one...   ...

... a lovely car, spoiled by them...
cybers

The other one beside it sports even racier wheels both from Boness.
Now this little darling i have seen loads of times

This one from Selkirk

Fastnet Check online for Classic Car Shows I am pretty sure Biggar and Beith are up soon m8

Fantastic pics, Schiehallion.

The green Cortina with the black vynil top really took my eye, but not for the 'mags'.

It's the spitting image of the second car I owned.  Mine was a 2000 OHC model and a brilliant car to drive.

I used to own a Kadett, same colour as the one in the thread, the Rostyle wheels are worth a few quid nowadays, you have to love the E-Type too.

The weekend of May 23rd/24th is a good time for car fans here in the borders, the Jim Clark in and around Duns and a vintage rally at Lauder.
Marti

Was on a walkabout and spotted this little beauty in stockwell st today...

Glen TK

Now that is a nice way to roll along

Is the driver and passengers all wearing rubber masks?   Looks like Freddir in the back seat, Prince Phillip in the front passenger seat and a 'handsome dude' rubber mask being worn by the driver

Since I have had a few old cars in the last 10 years I thought I would add the ones I have pictures of.

This was my first car;

Drove it for 3 years but rust finally caught up with it so off to be recycled;

This was my second car. Rescued from a scrappies in Paisley (by this point I had taught myself to weld).

(I could get 3 engines in that wee trailer)

I have had others but this was still pre-digital so need to find them.

I now have this type 3 VW;

And my camper;

I managed to get my Mrs into old cars as well. This was her first bug (the white one);

And this is her present Beetle;

As I have a tow truck I also have a gallery of old cars I have moved here;

Unbelievable place Fastnet.
The value of the stuff in there is incredible,smashing place and only cost a couple of quid for entry.
Best to phone first though,we did and they told us to phone when we arrived and they'd come and open up for us.
Well worth a visit.
