For normal-ratio sized pictures up to 1024x768 is fine, but obviously panoramic
pictures may be wider than that. There's no upper limit, however.

Phew, thanks for clearing this up, I guess I won't be posting my photos on any forum where I can't post larger than 800x600.

It does throw the front page off at times, you have to go to the far side of the page to log in, could be confusing for potential members. Could that page have a width limit put on it?

Well, I always post them fairly small and if I feel that a larger size should be seen ( eg panoramas ), I post the flickr link to all sizes underneath.

I think its ok ...it only takes a sec to scroll along to see a wider pic..and if I really want to see it better I'll go to Flickr.
