This hospital has not been in use for the last 3 years. The childrens hospital on the same site will close 2015 & move to a new facility at the southern general hospital.

Both hospitals to be demolished for yuppie flats.

Fantastic photos there. Excellent. I was born there 31 years ago lol.

I'm always amazed how much equipment is left to waste when a hospital is closed. Even if they are old and no longer required in the new hospital thats been decked out with new equipment, surely it could go to good use in a country that needs it?
I'm sure those incubators could be a welcome addition to some 3rd world hospital

I agree totally. The place shut 3 years ago. I can only assume that they wil wait till Yorkhill shuts then demolish both. So why have a perfectly good hospital and all the equipment just sit there and rot when it can be used elsewhere.
nightfly

That area is used for storage & they do send equipment to other country's. but some stuff is just left to rot.

its in a third world hospital....
