RIP HollowHorn

Just heard the sad news that Hollow Horn (Robert Sweeney) has died last night.

Hollow Horn was an early contributor to Urban Glasgow  when it first started bur reverted back to Hidden Glasgow bur made infrequent stops here from time to time.

I have fond memories of some late night arguments about Glasgow with him but we never fell out. I will miss him

Sad news indeed. RIP HollowHorn.

I've never met up with anyone in this online community but in saying that I've had many personal exchanges in private messages with some of the contributors (all of them mainly positive) and Hollowhorn was one of those who was always positive, helpful and generally an all round good guy.

My thoughts to his family, friends and those lives he touched.  May his light shine forever in these forums and beyond.

2016 is turning out to be a bastard of a year... he was one of the nicest blokes you could meet and a gentleman.
cybers

Always had a way to be deadpan but hilariously funny at the same time, I only met him a couple of times when out and about with forum and once when I met him on Nitshill Road... I was lost and the first person I asked for directions was him.
He never did mention it in here   I don't think he mentioned it across the road either. He just pointed I turned my head 45 and sure as fcuk there it was.

Very sad to read this. I'm sure people will continue to benefit from his knowledge of Glasgow via these very forums for years to come.

I'll be attending.
