So This Is Glasgow - The Book

I have just finished reading this book and thought it would be of interest to people who view Urban Glasgow.

The book is written about the people of Glasgow in 1938 and has lots of interesting insights of Glasgow during this period.

This is a randomly selected page from the books 190 pages.

I have scanned it in pdf format in two sections the total file size is about 81MB. So the quality of the two page screen is excellent.

If anyone would like a copy on a disk I would be happy to pass on to anyone interested in reading this fascinating little book.

I have this one, it is a great read indeed.

I have quite a lot of Glasgow books and would be open to contributing to an UG lending library.

Hugo

Are there any that could be scanned to pdf

That may be a better way of sharing
Hugo Drax

It would be quite a big task. I do have the kit to do it so will have a wee look into it.

I know it is a large task Hugo

I have scanned to pdf the "So This Is Glasgow" book and it took almost all day.

But working one at a time would in the long run be an advantage.

Hi Bruce

Happy to pass on a copy to you. I can copy it to a disc and send it to you.
Hugo Drax

It is a great read.

I must make good on my promise and scan some of my books.

My five year old son goes to sleep every night reading my History of Glasgow Street Names book.
