Impressive .... I was shown the original bridge stanchions last year .... they are underwater and predate this one by about 200 years..

Glass bottomed pail did nothing for my skills with the camera though

Great pics Stu.......Quite fancy a wee trip up there now..

There isnt much too it... but it has a lot of history. There are plaques and plates around the place detailing the building and the graveyard is very old.
Google it and read the historical scotland entry...

Briarwood Farm is geared primarily for kids but it was great fun for me and my partner too! Only 5 miles from Stirling - we went in June;

Ochtertyre Road

We picked strawberries, petted some animals and bought a few souvenirs. Be warned though it is a tad expensive if you don't go on the kids outdoor activity stuff!

UBEX in stirling

Found this poster in stirling.  I have no reason to doubt that it is an original from wwII

The wall it is on is from a Victorian building and is internal and weatherproof.

Enjoy

Mr Sam

Edit - Originaly forund 2006, still there jan 2013....

I came across one almost exactly like that one in Aberdeenshire but was not allowed to take a photo.
The room it was in was almost untouched since the building was vacated in the early 70's the has been upkept since then and has onsite security of the very loud angry kind. now used mainly for document storage.

though your one looks to have fared slightly better.

Was invited to toddle along here before the site is cleared to bash out a few wee HDR efforts. It would have been rude not to. All images made up of 19 exposures. (OVERKILL)

I was there years ago... I wasn't invited and some woman moaned at us to leave. We'd taken all the pictures by then anyway
