Started life in 1913 as the Salon cinema with a Moorish facade and a rooftop winter garden. Converted in the 20s to retail - at one point, a Lumley's sports store with the Piccadily Club in the old winter garden.

Upper levels latterly hosted Rooftops disco and a Chinese restaurant. Rooftops became Moon before closing. Permission was in place not so long ago to convert it and the building to the west into a boutique hotel.
